Refund Policy

This policy explains when refunds are applicable and how recovery services are evaluated.

Nature of the Service

FixZipFile provides a digital file reconstruction service. Payment covers automated and, where applicable, manual recovery efforts — not guaranteed restoration of original files.

Due to the nature of corrupted data, recovered files may be incomplete, partially usable, or differ from the original archive structure.

Free Preview & Purchase Decision

Before payment, users are presented with a free preview showing detected file names or recoverable data structures. This preview represents the maximum expected recovery outcome.

By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have reviewed the preview and understand the limitations of corrupted archive recovery.

14-Day Refund Eligibility

Refund requests are accepted within 14 days of purchase only if the final downloadable archive does not reasonably correspond to the previewed results.

  • If none of the files shown in the preview appear in the reconstructed archive, you are eligible for a refund.
  • Minor differences in file size, format warnings, or partial content are considered normal results of data corruption.
  • Refunds are not granted due to subjective dissatisfaction, expected usability, or external software compatibility issues.

Manual Recovery Clause

If automated reconstruction does not succeed, FixZipFile may offer a manual recovery attempt at no additional charge.

Completion of a manual recovery attempt is considered fulfillment of the purchased service, regardless of outcome.

Non-Refundable Situations

  • Files that were encrypted or password-protected before corruption.
  • Archives with overwritten or zero-filled data blocks.
  • User error, unsupported software, or operating system limitations.
  • Failure to download files within the 24-hour retention period.

How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted by email and include:

  • Your payment email address or Order ID.
  • A brief description of the issue.
